Select a color from the palette (or select your own by clicking the active color), switch to Paint Mode and click any country. Right-click a country for more options.
Change the background color, border style (color and thickness) and add country labels. Use the zoom controls to focus on any region (or right click a country to zoom to it).
Export your finished map as a high resolution PNG for free, or as a crisp, scalable SVG with a paid subscription. Perfect for presentations, reports, prints and more.
Every map has a unique shareable link built right into the URL. Copy it to send your map to friends and colleagues as a pre made map, or you can pick up exactly where you left off.
Map Maker puts professional grade map customization directly in your browser, no software required.
Start by selecting a color from the palette or clicking the active color swatch to open the full color picker. Change palette Palettes for additional color libraries.
Switch between distance Select, colors Paint and ink_eraser Erase modes using the control bar at the top. Paint Mode, click any country to apply your active colour instantly. Select Mode gives you a right-click context menu on any country with options to paint, pick a new colour, zoom in or erase.
Dial in the details using the Borders to choose stroke weight and color, and toggle Borders on or off with options for full names or ISO codes across all countries or painted ones only. The Background / Sea Picker lets you set a custom ocean colour or keep it transparent for flexibility in downstream tools.
Right-click any legend item to copy its color, change it across all countries in that group at once, or erase the entire group in a single action, useful when you're editing a colour scheme during your design.
Every action is tracked in the history History Modal, click the history icon in the control bar to browse your session timeline and restore any previous state. Use Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y for quick undo and redo while painting.
When you're ready, save save your maps, or copy the URL to ios_share share your map design with a friend, the full map configuration is encoded directly in the link.
